Please keep checking for upcoming Mommy Connections!

Hey Moms – School is finally back in session!! Now it's time to find babysitters!
You don't want to miss this great, new resource...

MommyMixer ® is quickly becoming the go-to place across the country to find a babysitter in a fun and stylish way! Modern-day moms are redefining what it is to be a parent - they've mastered the job and family balance, and somehow do it all with style. But when it comes to finding a babysitter, the search can still be dreadful and all-too-time consuming. Thanks to MommyMixer ® it doesn't have to be.

For a nominal registration fee, Mixers bring parents face-to-face with eager sitters from local universities.
Moms and dads meet a room full of sitter.
Each sitter describes their availability and qualifications and each parent describes what they need in sitter. After group introductions, sitters and parents have time to mix and mingle,
allowing one-on-one time to ensure a perfect fit.
In the end, parents leave with THE Babysitter Book™ a collection of each sitter's resume
and availability and the confidence that they have found a great set of sitters
to form reliable relationships with!

The first MommyMixer for the fall is scheduled for Wednesday, September 3 rd at Bloom Maternity .

Space is limited so please RSVP as soon as possible at http://www.mommymixer.com/sanantonio/
If you can not attend the September 3 rd Mixer, go ahead and sign up for a later date!

Morning Stress

Now that school is back in session so are our crazy mornings!!!
We've all done it... dropped our kids off at Daycare, school or the bus stop and walked away feeling a
little guilty about how the morning went.
I recently had one of those mornings that I'll share.
My son goes to school 45 mins before my daughter (she just started middle school but that's another topic!!).
He was ready and in the car and my daughter was still in the house with no worries of being late.
She gets into the car with her nails freshly painted (seriously!) and as I proceeded to whip out of the
driveway I explained to her in my angriest 'Mom is so upset' voice how disappointed
I was in her lack of consideration for her brother.
After dropping off my son I opted to drop her off super early at her school and as she exited the car she was visably upset.
As I drove away I started feeling guilty.
This was, after all, her 2nd day of middle school and I'm sure she wanted to look just perfect.
I am grateful that she took my opinion to heart, but I knew I should have handled it better...
after all, I am the adult.
It took me a short 3 min. drive before I turned the car around and
went back into the school to make ammends.
So here's the topic... short of raising perfect children who never upset us (cough, cough)
or having perfect mornings every day (cough, cough) how do we deal with the morning stress?!!
